Our 2026 Curations : the legacy of two long-silent icons.

Our 2026 Curations : the legacy of two long-silent icons.

We continue our pursuit of the remarkable with two rare releases: a 25-Year-Old Trinidad Rum (Release No. 41) and a 60-Year-Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky (Release No. 42).

Together, these releases honour the craft of long maturation and the distinctive character of two storied “ghost” distilleries – from the bold, industrial background of Trinidad’s Caroni Distillery to the grain whisky legacy of Scotland’s Carsebridge Distillery. Both distilleries have since been demolished; their reputations only deepening with time.

What remained in these casks is irreplaceable; spirits shaped by decades of patient aging, each offering a final glimpse into the character and craftsmanship of two vanished giants.

“These releases embody the discoveries and stories we are privileged to share; spirits that reveal something truly singular and remind us why we search the world for moments of brilliance”

“Decades of tropical maturation have revealed layers of character that speak to the island’s spirit and to Caroni’s enduring legacy.”

Release No. 41: The Last Drop 25-Year-Old Trinidad Rum from the Caroni Distillery

This striking 25-year-old Trinidadian rum is drawn from two precious bourbon casks, one distilled in 1997 and the other in 1999; selected and married to balance Caroni’s unmistakable depth with vibrant layers of tropical fruit and floral lift. Long maturation in Trinidad’s tropical climate has shaped a spirit that reflects the power and nuance of Caroni’s historic production style, shaped by heavy, characterful distillate and patient aging in oak.

Since its closure in 2003, Caroni has achieved near-mythical status. Its remaining stocks are revered for their rarity and complexity, and this release stands as a testament to the distillery’s enduring influence.

Presented at 130.4 proof (65.2% ABV), a mere 261 bottles are available.

“It offers a rare glimpse into Scotch whisky’s golden age.”

Release No. 42: The Last Drop 60-Year-Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky from the Carsebridge Distillery

Drawn from cask No. 160237, laid down in November 1965, this remarkable 60-year-old Single Grain Scotch Whisky is a rare survivor of the historic Carsebridge Distillery.

Once a cornerstone of Lowland grain whisky production, Carsebridge closed its doors decades ago, leaving only a handful of casks to speak for its legacy. Today, its limited surviving stocks are treasured as some of the last expressions of a distillery that played a defining role in Scotland’s whisky landscape.

Six decades of maturation in a single ex-bourbon cask have shaped a whisky of exceptional depth and refined sweetness. Distilled during the twilight of Carsebridge’s long operational life, this release captures the quiet craftsmanship and understated elegance that defined the distillery’s character. It stands as a testament both to the foresight of its creators and the enduring history of one of Scotland’s silent grain giants.

Presented at 84.8 proof (42.4% ABV), only 140 bottles are available.

Each bottle from The Last Drop 2026 Collection is wax-sealed, individually numbered and presented in a bespoke case that includes a 50ml miniature, a pocket-sized tasting book, and an engraved stopper cork.
